I use the maroon. I seem to remember that the gray was the one which
contained aluminum oxide, but I could be wrong. The maroon seems to ne the
most commonly available for me here locally from the paint store I deal with
and the local welding shop I use stocks the red in almost every conceivable
configuration. I don't think it is that important which one you use as long
as it works.
More food for thought, I have been using Duplicolor self etching
primer from AutoZone (which will open another can of worms) Went in the
other day for more and they have switched product lines and no longer carry
it and replaced it with Rustoleum self etching primer so I bought some to
try. I don't like it nearly as well as it seems to build quite a bit heavier
and doesn't go as far. What are your experiences?
Spent the whole long weekend in the airplane factory, Rebuilt one
spar I dinged up when I riveted it together and riveted both wing skeletons
together.

I have used Maroon throughout the entire build process. i believe its the correct one. Also, Dan, I have always used the Rustoleum light grey automotive primer. I hope its compatible with the topcoat when I decide on one...Geoff
