I am going to be away for about three weeks and feel that I need to drain all the fuel from my Rotax 912 engine while I am gone. What is the best way to do this? Drain the tank, and then start the engine and let it run out of fuel, or do something else?

Don't fuel stabilizers work? Is so, how long?

I've stored fuel over an entire winter with no ill effects by adding Sta-Bil per instructions on bottle. Fuel will definitely degrade over that long a period without stabilization. If you do this, be sure to run the engine for a few minutes so that the entire fuel system will have the Sta-Bil laced fuel. It is best to add the stabilizer while the fuel is fresh. It will not rejuvenate already degraded fuel.

Hi Hugh,
You can as Rick suggested add a stabilizer or add some 100LL, both will help.
