I'm assuming It must just be a particular e-mail client problem then.
I suppose some clients have good reasons to be paranoid about malicious attachments because of their particular systemic vulnerabilities.

That actually makes for a rather attractive airplane. Looks like much lower angle on the landing gear legs, to offset the increase in height from the larger wheels.
One drawback of larger wheels is that the brakes have to work harder, since the larger wheels put more torque on the brakes.

Yes ! I did, but it's not an unusual occurrence with my set-up (Hotmail on Laptop running Win. Vista etc). Some get through, others don't. The ones that don't look like a series of Letters and numbers like this;

But it takes up a huge amount of space on the e-mail (hundreds of lines), reducing the vertical slider to about 1/8th inch thick on a 15 inch screen. When it happens, I just go to the matronics site to look at the photos. There's probably some way of correcting it, but I haven't got around to researching it.

What is the correct toe in and will that be with the tail wheel on the ground or elevated a bit? Ready to install my brakes with the new style axle to leg attachments on my Firestar KX. I am thinking no toe with tail on the ground and when the tail comes up there will be some? Any tips would be great.
Thanks The existing tires appear to be toe out until the tail comes up then they appear straight. It seems to handle fine on the blacktop and grass.

I know that there has been conversation on the list that toe in is better,,
toe out is better,, straight is better...
Which is the best maybe I don't know,,,, but the above statement is from
the kolb instruction manual. Take it for what it is worth. My mkIII works
well on pavement.

I recall (clearly) the last time this subject came up. I had set my own "toe setting"
within a few days of the previous discussion. I set my newly-built steel gear legs to
have slight toe out. This is what the Kolb manual said, so that's what I did.
I read somewhere a long time ago that a taildragger airplane should have slight toe-out.
The thinking is that if one wing is raised, the remaining rolling tire will try to drive AWAY from the
raised wing, causing it to lower. In the fast and furious events of a raised wing landing,
whether this really makes a difference, I don't have any idea. But that's the theory.
I also remember John H said he had slight toe-in, and Kolbs like a little toe-in. If that
is true that Kolbs like a little toe-in;
A) he'd probably know, more than anyone else
OR
B) a little toe-out, a little toe-in, or straight may not make any noticable difference
whatsoever.
I think the latter may be the truth of the matter. Go with a straight toe setting,
and you won't know the difference.
From my math calculations, I came up with a 2 degree toe-out for each tire, on my plane.
I think if I were doing it again, I think I would set them straight and not think about them again.
To look at them, they appear to be straight.
If I remember correctly, measured at the front of the tire, if straight were zero, toe-in would be
about an 1/8th", and toe-out is about an 1/8th".
I'd go with the Kolb recommended setting....set them straight, but if you are going to err,
don't err, just set them straight!!!

You cannot talk about toe in with out addressing camber and aircraft5 loading
too. I
had zero toe in and trying to taxi on hard surface runway, the FireFly was
wild in any cross wind condition. Then I adjusted camber and set it with
the gear settled with 200 pounds of bagged sand in the seat. No move
problems. Very docile during cross wind conditions. How it was done can be

My mkIII also performs well on pavement with 800X6 Air Tracs. I set mine up
neutral, but there must be a tad of toe in because the gear will spread when
pushed backwards.

Based on the type of landing gear legs on Kolb Aircraft, toe out will cause the main gear to spread, especially on pavement, if they are toed out. This will cause increased drag and slow take offs, plus accelerate wear on the tires. On grass, the Kolb probably could care less which way the wheels point.
