All-
Want to make sure before I cut metal. I'm laying out 6-V-11-1 top =
center wing skins for an HDS (might be the same for all the rest of the =
601s, for all I know) prior to clecoing.=20
Manual says "Keep aft edge clear of rear Z spar web or you'll have =
trouble when you strap the nose skin down". Print says leading edge of =
top skin is 25mm forward of rear of main spar web.=20
If I align per the print, all the pre-drilled holes miss the rib =
crimps, but I'll have to trim about 3/8" off the trailing edge of the =
skin. If I align the trailing edge of the skin flush with the Z spar, =
I'll have a hell of a mess as far as the pre-drilled hole spacing is =
concerned. Every one of the crimps will be directly under a hole.
My gut feeling is to hide the manual under a rock and go with the =
print. Anyone been there, done that? (Not hid the manual, had a long =
center wing top skin!!)
