Hi
Im based in Australia and new to the list, never owned a Yak before, only a couple of Pitts. I am looking at importing a 55M which is currently based in NY, 6B9. Would anyone be able to recommend a good Yak person in the area (or close) who could do a pre-buy?

Border Air in Vermont is not too far away. They have been assembling and maintaining Yaks for GESOCO for years. They also have the necessary equipment to disassemble and pack the airplane should you decide to buy it. They are also familiar with shipping to Australia with its special requirements. Vince has maintained a Yak 55 for another customer for years and may have done the last annual on the aircraft you are buying. He has crated two Pitts aircraft for me , sent to Europe for sale. He.
