Today an Avweb article announced that the Bahamas are the first foreign
jurisdiction to allow US and Canadian pilots daytime flights in LSA's with
only a driver's license. See
http://www.bahamas.com/bahamas/light-sport-aircraft-approval
This is actually the first reference that I've seen to sport pilots in
Canada. Are Canadian LSA pilots allowed to fly without a class III medical?
If so, are they allowed to fly in the US w/o a class III?
Perhaps there is hope that, someday, the Canadians will allow US pilots to
fly LSA's in Canada w/o a class III. That would be fantastic!
Happy Thanksgiving one and all.

That is a very good news to me. I'm going for a sport pilot certificate and Bimini is just 71 miles away from Kendall Tamiami Airport, that like a 35 minutes flight in an LSA. A destination that I cannot reach by car.
