Hi Folks:

Travis asked me to forward the following Kolb Aircraft videos with the Kolb List.

He also told me the company is doing well. They are building and selling Kolbs.

Kolb Aircraft is oriented to building Kolb kits the way Homer Kolb did it, integrating improvements of the kit without changing the type kit and purpose of Homer's designs.

John, Bryan, ....or whoever knows,

I was just curious.  Was that Xtra that Bryan was building the yellow/white Xtra
we've seen at Oshkosh, etc?   Or was it a brand new one he's  building now?

BTW, he sure does purdy work!!

Hi Travis,

Thanks for the reply.  My curiosity was because of the color.  I was just wondering
if the "yellow and white" was a company Xtra color scheme.

I know there was a Classic that was on the cover of Kitplanes magazine once.  Then, I saw
a picture of Jim Kmet's Classic, and thought it was the same one.  He said, no, it just
had the same colors.

My plane is "near" finished.  Meaning, only about 60% to go.  Just kidding.  I hope to finish it in
a couple of months.  What I haven't totally decided on is the final striping.  ALL Poly Tone white
is already painted on it.  I'm waiting on the striping for the last step.
Our buddy Scott Thompson shared with me his "future paint job" (a computer rendition) that he
was going to paint his plane (which he eventually did).  The picture has been my 'desktop' on my
computer for a couple of years now.  I am intending on painting my stripes similar to the artwork
picture he gave me, with a slight change in actual colors.

Kolb planes sure do look nice with good looking paint jobs!!  BTW, don't tell Bryan he does
FANTASTIC work.  We'll keep it a secret.
