Kolb people,
Well, I managed to finish my lowering mount thingy. After cutting a slight angle
on it, to let it line up with the slipstream better, I ended up with an overall 5 1/4"
inlet-to-mounting surface difference. (See attached photos)
I made it out of a piece of .032 2024 aluminum sheet. Weighs around 2 oz, or
so. I decided to go ahead and mount it on the front underside of the nosecone, around 4-5"
left of centerline....so as not to get in the way of the hoop. I have it about 3/4"
ahead of the front edge of the nosecone, which gives a final measurement of....
5 1/4" down, by 3/4" ahead of the nosecone, offset about 5" to the left
