I live in Pahrump, NV, not too far from Death Valley.  I haven't flown over there yet because I am not sure if the altitude change will be a problem.  Pahrump is about 2700 feet, the Furnace Creek airport is 200 feet below sea level.

My 582 is set up nicely for Pahrump.  EGT about 1150 full throttle and 1200 mid range.  No altitude compensation.  At minus 200 feet it will be running lean.  Is this something I should worry about or no big deal?

Depends on your fuel situation when you get there. If you HAVE to land

at Furnace Creek for fuel, but your EGT's won't let you, you'll have to
have an "interesting" dead stick experience. Otherwise, if you have
plenty of fuel you can check it out and if it doesn't work, go back.
I've had the problem you describe a couple of times and it made for
"challenging" landings. Because I use rich mains and the HACman system I
ended up having two throttle settings available, full and idle. Landing
was therefore not too difficult, but I had to really watch the EGT
gauge, a distraction not conducive to good pattern work, lookout
maintenance, and a "stabilized" approach. If you're not too far from
Furnace Creek you could probably pick a day with a 2700' density
altitude and landing at Furnace Creek would be identical with landing at
Pahrump!
