I actually don't prefer the fighter style grip.
Unfortunately the Tosten is one button short for me just like the G307 is.

I got frustrated trying to make the wiring turn at the grip end so I ran my wiring external. I ordered some 1.75" black shrink tubing from MC and cut it to length, slipped it over the stick and cable and went to work with the head gun.

These are my experiences almost exactly. A quick call to JD will get just what you want, the way you want. I also recommend using the supplied wire at least to underneath the front seats. If you aren't using the VP system, then JD's trim relay board is a great way to wire up your trims, IMHO. I often buy a couple of other buttons from him for simple things on the panel as well (ie, autopilot source switch, acknowledge buttons, etc.), so it might make sense to think through other things that you may want before calling. The order form on the website does work, if you can find it. It takes a little while to wade through the huge fonts and colors to actually find the order form link, but it is there. It does explain itself moderately well, but again, a call will definitely work. JD is very knowledgeable.

[quote]The infinity Grip site is a confusing mess. Calling Infinity when I ordered my grips for the RV-4, RV-6A RV-10 and most recently my 8A was the exact same song & grumbling dance. "Did you see the order form on the website" "Yes but it was confusing and I didn’t want to make a mistake in ordering." That is how everyone of my conversations went with JD but in each case we went through the choices & options and the ordering took about 20 minutes to get exactly what I needed. Just understand what switch, button, toggle you want including type of switch (momentary, push on/off) and of course what hand orientation your grips should be. Don’t forget the button switches are available in different colors so decide ahead of time your AP disconnect color vs. your Flip/Flop button color. Know ahead of time the amount of wiring length you want because he sells the bundled wire by the foot. Once you have completed the grip transaction be ready for the hard sell on his engine pre-oiler and a few other items. I thanked him for the suggestions but passed on those items. I think this the best & most accurate way to order these grips. In the end I get what I need and have discussed the choices with the most knowledgeable if occasionally a touch gruff developer of the product.
"Best time to call is after 1400 CA California time, and evenings, at (619) 448-5103 ."
A note on the wiring. His bundle of wiring in the blue sleeve has a LOT of wires in it. I think each wire has an associated ground wire. This bundle is difficult to fish through the control stick. Don’t flake out and run the wires external to the stick. I suggest you eliminate most of the ground wires that you don't need and fish the balance of the wires through the stick. I call my set up "hillbilly wiring" but it works well and is much cleaner than an external wiring job. BTW I am not saying it is impossible to run the entire bundle through the stick, just very difficult. We finally learned on the 8A the best technique.

OK this is off subject, but I'm having a tough time of calibrating my fuel guages to the Grand Rapids. I've read and re-read GIS's instructions and I am still lost, anybody out there that can throw me a bone it would be much appreciated.

I can't help, but let me know when you figure it out, because I am going to be needing to do this for a guy in the next couple of weeks and I don't have a clue how yet.
Thanks.
