My ability to pull/push the Kitfox over the gravel floor has diminished somewhat lately. I was thinking of a Dolly arrangement that may help. Surely some of you have devised or purchased something to help with this task. Ideas would be appreciated.

Dave, I can move my kitfox around on the gravel with the wings folded with my tail wheel scoop. I can even scoop up the tail after the wings are folded. The wheels are 10 in pneumatic from harbour freight.

May i suggest attaching a carrying block to the bed of a Radio Flyer. Put
the tail wheel in the block and then fold the wings. Moving the plane
should then be very easy.

Dave,
I use a commercial product called a "tail dragger dragger" I have used it for years and it works well. You might do an Internet search or spruce may have it.

This works well on solid surfaces provided wings are NOT folded. Don't know about your gravel floor.

This might work if the surface is packed down pretty good. I tried some narrow hard rubber wheels on my proto type but they would dig in with the wings folded on my gravel driveway. You could probably easily put a pair of the harbor freight pneumatic wheels on it for use on a soft surface.

I have an STC for use on Certified aircraft. You will have to send me $25 if you want to use it on a FAA certified aircraft. No permission required for use on a kitfox. Wink
