About 4 years ago I bought an Astro Pneumatics PR36 pneumatic pop rivet gun. At the time I bought it specifically for pulling 3/16" stainless steel rivets. If memory serves it was about $70 at the time (I just came across the current price at Pegasus Racing and they're $77 now). Anyway, I was getting ready to make an extended nose piece for pulling some rivets that were exceptionally close to a flange when I discovered the other three nose pieces were missing from the bag I keep the riveter in. The next morning I did a search and found Astro Tools in Mount Airy, NC, got their service dept on the phone and asked them about replacement nose pieces. Maybe it was because it was Valentines Day, I don't know, but they sent me out a new set for free. They didn't even charge for shipping.

 So, if you're in the market for a pneumatic riveter, Astro Tool makes a good one, and they certainly have my thanks.

   Positive feedback about various companies is always good to hear.

   My Icom A200 comm radio rubber knob covers were old and dry rotted.  I

 called the Icom Co. to order some more (3 pcs.).  The guy said, send me your

 address via email, and I'll ship them out to you.  I did, and they did, for free.

 It didn't even cost me the postage.

   Great customer service is ALWAYS good advertisement!!!  Thanks for the

 plug for Astro Pneumatics.  We know where to go to get a good riveter!

I also have a similar story:  A few years ago, I needed a new strobe head for my Kolb, from Kuntzleman Electronics.  (my old one got dunked in salt water and died – remember THAT unpleasant story?!)

 

Same thing – they simply sent me a new one, free of charge.  (Thanks again, Dick!)

 

Acts of good will like these are good for business – makes a customer happy to bring return business to them again.
