|
|
Hi All
I have just fitted the oil cooler into the duct on my tri-gear XS. To improve the cooling I have lowered the cooler by two inches as suggested in past posts.
The clearance between the steel tube of the nose leg and the bottom of the radiator is now
3-1/4 inches and I'm wondering if this is enough.
If anyone has any experience in this area I would appreciate any advice
Regards

Hi David
Just measured mine and its 3 1/2 to the nose leg with a 2 inch drop for the oil cooler,
I have the springs fitted instead of the bungi cord, but you also have the steel safety
cable to prevent contact in a heavy landing event,
regards
Ivor

<?xml:namespace prefix="v" /><?xml:namespace prefix="o" /><![endif]--> You should be fine. Before the final fit of the cowl, check the clearance for that too.
