How do you go about selling a home built project? For health considerations there is no longer any reason for me to continue construction of an aircraft that I will never fly. Several local builders have suggested that I part it out but it took me five years to get to where I am now and I don't have the heart to take it apart. I briefly offered it for sale on Barnstormers last year but when my prognosis improved I took it off Barnstormers and went back to work on it. Now it seems I must try to move it again. I had almost no reaction to my ad on Barnstormers and am really not impressed with with that format. Anybody got any ideas?
Thanks

Hi Carroll:
A lot of airplanes and partial completed projects sell on ebay on a regular basis.
Set your starting price to what you would take as the lowest price and make it clear that they are bidding on a project and not a finished airplane. Explain that it will need to be disassembled by the buyer and transported from your location. Put a lot of pictures on ebay, or a link to pictures on one of the picture sites. Believe, it is pictures and a good description that will sell your project.
