Anyone hear anything from John Bickham? Don't think he is too far from where they opened that spillway in LA.
Hope he and others are OK.

Sorry I missed your calls. Thanks for the concern.
Most of us OK. Lot of folks are gonna feel this. And that is if there are no levee failures. Opened the Morganza Spillway yesterday. That will buy us a little (1 - 1.5 feet). This is record setting stuff. Nobody really knows how this will play out. Glad the levee system was built by the old guys, with pride in their workmanship.
Moved my Mark IIIC last Thursday, mostly because of threat of rain. No place for new water to go. Right now, Nauga Field OK. We still have close to 13 days before crest.
John H - know your busy with departing this am. I'll try to return your call. Check in later if you get a chance. Keep us posted. Fly smart and safe. Watch out for that Density Altitude (Grants Milan, NM!!)
For those that have been to Nauga. Water can be seen off the front porch of the camp/FBO.
If you live between the Rockies and the Smokies and want to help, go twice, flush once!!!

I know many pilots and a few true aviators. There is a distinct difference that I have the greatest respect for. |
