After over a year and a half of work, my plane is back in the air!  After the XL upgrade and addition a 5th bearing to the engine, the last hurdle was to update my insurance which took a few days after the log book sign-off.  I've done a lot of ground testing and then flew about 1.5 hours this week.  The plane does seem a little heavier on the controls, but otherwise flies just like she used to.

My plan now is to do more testing and then head off to Corvair College #20 next weekend, which is shaping up to be a great time.  By far, the best experience I've had in aircraft building has been the people I've met and formed friendships with.  There is no better crowd of people than the Corvair community.
