Doc,
Oohhh, I can find the space I'm sure, but right now my wallet hurts. (Laugh) Why didn't you guys tell me that acquireing a Yak is a never-ending exercise in finding something else "your baby" just has to have? (Most women buy shoes but me? Noooo-) - Val

Be careful Val, pretty soon you are going to want to have polished wheels, chromed exhaust tips, chromed cowl latches, a fine Corinthian leather interior, a Dynon EFS and the list goes on and on and then what's Craig Eckberg going to do, "cause he will no longer have the most pimped out CJ in the fleet:) The again after two years in the making I am sure Hal Morley's CJ when finally done will make us all throw up our hands in surrender.

Val,
These things are an addiction. They are a never ending money sump! You should see what I have spent on my 50 since getting her in Mar. Will tell you when you do not have a DG in the 50, you start looking for substitutes. I can tell you the Dynon D10A fits perfectly in the ADI spot and gives you 10 instruments in one! You will have to fabricate a back plate to mount it, but sheet metal is cheap.
So if you are looking for a replacement for that ADI that has gone bent gadget, I recommend the Dynon D10A. Even got to take out that 15-something lb inverter. The Becker com and transponder also are nice panel additions that do not take up a lot of space either. From experience now, the Becker radio works fine using the Russian antenna.
Anybody have experience with mounting the Hooker racheting aerobatic lapbelts to the seat. Since they have two attachment brackets for both sides of the belts. Essentially there are two parallel belts with individual attachment brackets per side. That one surprised me. One of the belts will attach nicely to the old Russian attachment points. Will have to make another attachment point for the other belt though.

Yeah, unfortunately I'm on that course right now. Gotta stop it so I can fly her this summer. Leave the teardown for the winter! Then we'll get into sripping her, redoing the fabric,. Adding the custom cockpit flooring and empanage seal/bulkhead cover to keep those pesky items from migrating to the elevator bulkhead. Gotta admit, those tuned trantula headers that Tom Johnson has adorned his prise ride with are looking pretty "Primo Maun!" Stopp It! This could get outta HAND!
