Guys. my stock CJ6 G meter has three needles. Can anyone tell me how they should work? Thanks.

A guess...one should read the negative G, one the instant positive G, and
one the total G. At least that is the way I've seen some of the three needle
G meters I've run across. The last needle is like a totalizer needle for the
flight.

If it is a "standard" G meter there are two recording needles (pos. & neg.)
and one floating needle reading both but not recording either.

Mine has three... one for max negative Gs, One for max positive Gs and one for real time Gs....

After my meter is reset, all three needles read 1.2. Is that correct & is there a way to adjust it to zero? The back of my meter reads "Made in New York" by a watch company.

They should all read 1 when reset since we live in a one g world

Paul;
That would be one of the older 3 1/8" G meters. Made by the Jaeger Watch Co.. An excellent instrument.
It has a lock control knob at the rear which should be engaged when the instrument is being handled or stored. Must be unlocked after installation. Make sure it is in the unlocked position for checking and operation.
All three hands should read "1".
