Dan, ROAN is not Rotax. They are located in Vernon, BC, Canada and I assume
they are associated with Rotech Research, the Canadian Rotax distributor. There
is some good information on the ROAN website and its a great place to get the
latest versions of the service and parts manuals. As for ROANs subscription
service, basically it is for access to the videos that they have started
producing over the last couple of years. The videos aren't bad and
theoretically updated as procedures change. I guess that the subscription fee
is comparable to what CPS charges for its DVDs. Personally, I'd rather have a
DVD that I can watch whenever I want and don't have to keep re-subscribing too.

I have received many emails from Rotax about videos relating to the
912. When I go to their site, all I get is a preview of the video.
Maybe I am just cheap but after spending over $16,000 for their engine,
I don't feel I should have to shell out more money for their videos. Am
I off base?
