I hope I am not stealing anyone's thunder when I  draw your attention to the Europa Company website and the announcement of more  sales of Europa Aircraft kits http://www.europa-aircraft.biz/upload/Europa-Aircraft-Post-Guidev2.pdf

  

 Don't forget that there is another chance to see  Europas 'in the wild' at this weekends Europa International Flyin at Popham  (EGHP). The weather may be changeable but we will be ready to greet visitors  from Friday if anyone wants to arrive early.

Any international visitors expected at the weekend.I have just seen the large marqquees going up on the airfield.Ray

Ray, We are expecting some of our colleagues from  Europe but as ever it depends on the weather.

 I don't believe the marquee is to do with us. We  will be setting up on Thursday.

Hi Steve,



I am certainly delighted that sales are being made!  It is a good thing

for all of us.



I looked at the brochure and I saw the bit about three kits, but nowhere

did the brochure mention or even hint at what event this Post-Event

flyer was describing.



I assume it was in the UK, it that a fair assumption?

Ira,

Good to hear from you - yes the event was called Aeroexpo, a trade show 

aimed in its original format at the Cessna/Piper brigade of GA but recently 

infiltrated by the homebuilts etc. This year it was held for the first time 

at Sywell in Northamptonshire (http://www.expo.aero/) and  Swift/Europa had 

a prominent stand at the entrance to the show. There is also a Post-event 

brochue for the Swift/Slingsby venture which was alongside the Europa 

marquee.

As you can see from the Post-event brochure we had my aircraft (G-SMDH) plus 

the in build fuselage from Ian Rickard and Ian had been able to show the 

many modifications that have been approved by our LAA - there is no doubt 

that it drew a crowd and we forget the fascination in part built aircraft.

Thanks for the remedial education for the colonist!!



I was hoping to catch up with the Europaphiles at KOSH in a few

weeks, but the family wishes to go southwest on a bearing of 210Â°

rather than due west.
