I have a Series 7 near completion; everything is covered and painted. It’s has an IO240, and a manual trim tab configuration; which is the point of this message.
I am at the point where I am trying to mount my horizontal stabilizer, and the push-pull cable that controls the trim tabs is in the way of the slot for the horizontal stabilizer. It appears that I have attached the bracket that holds the rear end of the push-pull cable too far forward, and as a result it won’t move high enough to go over the stabilizer. The manual is very vague on this configuration, and at this moment I cannot remember what sort of logic I used to place the bracket where I did.
It appears that if I move the bracket rearward, it might do the trick. If someone could give me a measurement as to where to put it (no jokes), or some advice as a way to figure it out, it would be helpful.
Thanks,
Jim Gilliatt

In regards to my posting last night, it appears that the problem can be
solved by having the push-pull cable that operates the trim flaps pass
through the center of the horizontal stabilizer from top to bottom
slanting downward as it proceeds rearward. At this point, that is how
I'm going to do it.
Thanks for all your replies,
