Hello fox flyers who are flying behind a 912. In your opinions how does your ship perform with the current prop. We have the IV/1200 and a GSC 68" prop it is very time consuming to adjust. Does anybody have any opinions on their particular prop. Thanks for the input. Bob & Toodie

Bob/Toodie,
I have a 3 bladed, ground adjustable, Warp Drive prop and it flies great. No problem with it whatsoever. I did get the optional nickel leading edge and it seems to be worth the small increase in cost. John McBean has flown my plane and says it's one of the fastest Kitfoxes he has seen. At gross weight, the rate of climb is 1000 fpm - at sea level on a very warm day. But lets face it, it is a Kitfox, and if speed is what you want, an SX-300 would be a better choice:-) The prop and engine are well harmonized and I can't detect any prop vibration. Setting the blade angle was easy with the included protractor/instructions and it didn't take too long.
I like the combination, but I've heard there are other good props out there.
That's my two cents worth.

I had the same combination on my Model 5 Vixen. Changed to an IVO IFA 70". Huge difference in performance. I believe you will find more discussion on this subject in former posts.
Have fun

Bob,
I fly with the GSC prop, but as you state it is hard to adjust. I also feel it is barely enough prop for the 912. I had to pitch mine to almost 20 degrees to get the rpms down to where they should be. I’m saving up for a IVO with in flight adjustment.
