Recently there was a request regarding numbers of yak 18 T aircraft around the world.

The Yak 18T was built as a capable IFR aircraft but to Russian standards... with just an altimeter, an ADF as the only navigational instrument, a combined DI and a gyrocompass. The quality of these instruments is rugged, pretty good quality but quite heavy.... The russian instrumentation can be replaced with conventional avionics that will further the IFR capabilities and give about 90 pounds more payload.

Stewart's machine is awesome machine.....I have seen it in the final stages of being converted to a glass cockpit.....
