I think that one thing that is over looked is the amount of friction caused
by "excessive pressure" caused by nose gear bungee if pin isn't located
correctly.
I too, put a "Teflon washer" between my nose strut top cap and the "firewall
shelf" BUT compensated by changing the pin location in the nose strut by
the same thickness. To lessen the pressure by the bungee cord.

I don't agree-- if you add a "Teflon washer" this stretches the bungee even
more, causing more pressure. You're lifting the strut up higher.
Also, as discussed earlier---- I did away with the "damn Vee" and used a
straight Teflon block.

I also flattened the V, no problem in the first few hours you "learn" to feel the rudder and ball centered "noise", what a great coordination alarm is the fuselage

try this mod. I used it on both the 801 and 701 and it works like a dream.

I don't get the nose wheel vib. all that often to have bothered with it.
