SEE NOTE BELOW:
Hey Pulsar 582 owners:
I came across an ad for a Pulsar XP a while ago which has since sold. Only the vendor had a Rotax 618 engine instead of a 912 (or 582).
NOTE: AT THE PULSAR REUNION TODAY IT WAS NOTED THAT THE 618 IS NOT A SUITABLE ENGINE FOR THE PULSAR. THE REASONS INCLUDE:
1. A TUNED EXHAUST THAT IS FAR TOO BIG TO FIT INTO THE PULSAR COWL.
2. THE WRONG GEARBOX
3. THIS ENGINE IS BASICALLY A 582 MODIFIED TO PRODUCE 75HP BY THE TUNED EXHAUST.
I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT THE OWNER OF THIS KIT BOUGHT THIS ENGINE WITH IT, WHICH IS NOT THE CASE. IT IS NOT AN ENGINE SUPPLIED BY PULSAR.

The Rotax 618 has the same bore as the 582. Difference is in the longer
stroke and RAVE exhaust valves. These are very strong engines and where
discontinued by Rotax because of the release of 912 engines. Key to
performance with this engine was it's finely tuned Rotax exhaust system.

Hey Pulsar 582 owners:

it might be a safe upgrade for some 582 owners out there?
She also had some books and manuals she wants to sell.
Here's her details if any wants to check it out - good
luck!:

Un/Subscription,

Admin.
It's mu understanding that the 618 is not an aircraft engine. Also a Pulsar XP is a model for the 912 not a 582.
