does anyone know if this can be installed in a certified plane?

I believe it has been done, but not as primary. Depends on your fsdo. I saw where someone has done it but cannot remember where, maybe the beech forum.

I have 2 430s.  If I had this display, I wouldn't need anything else.

Or a dynon unit would work too as they make some nice stuff.

I think it is rediculous that because some planes were built by a factory to "certified" specs that they cannot use the same radios and navigational equpiment as one that was home built. There is no reasonable logic in that as long as there is no commercial use of the plane.
