Folks,
About that time, I spent about 18 months flying an ex-QANTAS
B707-338C, as a "white top", for DETA-Mozambique, what an
"interesting" place Maputo was ???
A bit too interesting at times.
Cheers,
Bill Hamilton

I spent 30 days flying a B-720A for Air Tanzania. It was painted as Fiesta
Air Travel Club Phoenix.

No fun. I lost 20 pounds in the 30 days I was there.

That would probably work. I might need a little longer now.

Bilbo,
I remember that aeroplane, it was about as much use in that part of
the world as an old B707, complete with JT-4 straight pipes, very
ex-Pam Am. Going out of Dar in that aeroplane was real fun, the worst
beer I have ever tasted was in Dar.
You really are bringing back memories. As I recall if it is the same
aircraft, that 720, sans centre tank, didn't go a long way. Happy days.
Cheers,
Bill Hamilton

Gents-

I passed over an opportunity to fly freight in/around the African continent
ten years ago. I've often wondered if I missed anything.

You guys have answered that question clearly for me.
