Gidday,
I'm working on attaching the cobra filler tube to the fuse, and am wondering if there is a strategy to use a thin layer of rubber between the tube and the BID strapping, so that it is held in position, and yet only attached at the filler end? I have done the work to isolate the loads with balsa sandwiched between BID and so it might be overkill, but I'd like to hear others views. If there is a smart way to get the redux in around the cap throat, so that it makes a nice seal, I'd appreciate it. The book method seems not the best way, and I am wondering about injecting the redux, and possibly making up a rubber gasket to go in first, and allow the redux to accumulate behind and completely fill the void. Must be a way to get an absolutely perfect seal.
