Ivor,
I found your youtube video of your landing for the 3rd Dutch GA Flyin (http://youtu.be/iM1txjU7Mm4).
Nice demonstration of what SmartASS does! I was wondering, what are those "EGT" calls for, f.i. on short final and when parking your plane?
(if only I had known you were taping your landing... OMG, my calls at 2:10 and 4:50 are BLASTING through your cockpit   )

Hi Marcel
I have the EGT/CHT Parameters set a bit fine on the Dynon so when i close the throttle
the EGT's give a warning of low temps but they are still well from their minimum,
They are on my list of things to do this winter[img]cid:ntlworld_com.361(at)goomoji.gmail[/img] to reduce false warnings,

Iver,
I thought mine was bad with the Garmin 695 telling me about terrain and that I should pull up, accompanied by the ZAON XRX telling me about traffic, usually just as I'm turning finals!!

To be fair The Dynon works very well and is normally quiet, But once the throttle's are closed then all EGT/CHT's
drop and trigger a alarm, this winter i will reset the parameters to reduce them,
On the upside once i forgot to switch the Turbo waist gate on (Pilot error) and had a high manifold pressure warning on take off that could have caused damaged to the 914 but was easily rectified by pulling off the power, and also i had a low fuel pressure warning when i did my initial testing due to a fuel filter blockage again easily sorted by changing to reserve, I am not saying i wouldn't have noticed it at some point but the Dynon gives you some vital seconds to use if needed,
So all in all more warnings in my book are better than blindly assuming every thing is OK, Additionally i like to keep my eyes out of the cockpit as much as possible and aural warnings are a good way to achieve this IMHO
