On one hand, it won't matter to some since they buy the apps like Foreflight.
I guess if it's still cheaper than sectionals, we are still ahead.
It does suck that they can't be free though.

As I read, the biggest impact is actually on the folks like Foreflight, WingXand likely Adventure Pilot's IFLY 700 as they actually have no cost in the raw data they are gathering and repackaging for sale in their products, so that will be passed on to their customers as increased cost. I guess it was in fact " Fun while it lasted " I use foreflight and am considering a switch to WingX Pro next time and I will continue to pay the higher prices for convienence in the future. It is hard to justify why these should be provided free while the cost of such is covered by the tax payers. I just think this cost should be reasonable and just.
