Just made it home from MV this afternoon... stayed under our wings on
Sunday night,,, wind and rain kept us on the ground Monday. high wind
warnings prompted us to see about a hanger for our planes and ourselves on
Monday night, had only been in the hanger about 15 to 20 min, before the
wind started. the awos reported 49 gusting to 56.. we were real happy to
be inside.. john w and john h went west to the Alvord desert and I went
north to home..

Happy you made it home safe. We had a terrible wind here Monday. I showed
a gust of 27 and I thought that was pretty bad. I worried about our other
flyers who were still enroute home. Lucky you found a hanger.
And thanks for the ride, I really appreciate it.

Greetings everyone,
I'm happy to be home safe, Monday was a terrible day at Grants, and the
winds were gusting to 51 mph.

I made a small webpage with my trip log and a few pictures. Don't get
analytical with the figures because I probably wrote down something wrong.

Heck of a trip, Will. I think you had more adventures than any of us. It's
a good thing you're a conservative pilot. Lar.

Thanks, I thought I was hot stuff when I landed at MV but when I was told
about "The Wandering Wench" in her 1984 Maxair, 503 powered, open cockpit,
Drifter flying in from Oregon kind of stole my thunder. Wink

I think she had the most adventures. She is planning a trip to Sun n' Fun in
a couple of years and would like anyone on her flight path to accompany her
as far as they can. She invited me to fly with her all the way to Florida.
I am seriously considering it.
