I'm flying into LAX this afternoon and leave tomorrow afternoon. Anybody in the area have any suggestions for a place to stay and/or words of wisdom for the city? Any projects near there?

Probably missed you, but Zamperini Field (Toa) is a good South Bay alternative, with easy access to rental cars and the beach. Also Santa Monica (KSMO). Curious if you actually landed at LAX, that would be an adventure worth reporting?
