Is anyone following his flight from Corsica to Cameroon or wherever ?He has been up for almost 9 hours and is somewhere in the middle of the Algerian desert, and it's nighttime there.
Where is he going to land ?
That guy is just amazing.

Thomas appears to be at Noumerat Airport in Algeria, just north of the Trans Sahara Highway on Google Earth.
Not too crowded by the look of it!

Yep, I'm following it.

Did you notice his airspeed? It appears to be in the 60's most of the
time. Either the logger is lying, or he has a terrible head wind, or he
is aggressively flying in fuel saving mode, or a combination of the
above. I'm too busy to do the math.

Anyway, he has a lot of fuel on board.

Indeed...

Well, that was the case for "just" the last hour or so (maybe he was
getting low on fuel), but his airspeed rarely reaches 100 knots..

Thomas does keep his speed down, fuel flow is kept very low; that's why it took him 21 hours (wasn't it) to cross the pacific.

He’s probably circling the cruise ship watching what happens to keep awake! Best wishes to him on his massive Journey.

But the click Cameroon 2012 is not updated.
The last info there is „Friday, January 13th. 2012 / 11::00 UTC Present weather conditions seem to postpone the planned takeoff from Mosbach/EDGM … „.

On the third line down it says click HERE for live tracking, and you get the Google map with the aircraft's track. If you click anywhere on the track you get position and speed info etc. He didn't get very far today.
