Hi Moe,

Last I knew:

N55GL, 680F(P) s/n 1200-104, was derelict at Berry Hill, Georgia. Info from a photo taken in January 2011.

N27GA, 680F(P) s/n 1212-111, was derelict at Corona, California. Info from a photo taken in February 2011.

N70QT, 680F(P) s/n 1208-109, was being parted out by Mountain Air LLC., Marion, Iowa following its accident in July 2009.

If none of these prove fruitful, I’ll try some of the other Models.

Very Best Regards,
Barry

Moe,

There's a crusty Commander at Livermore (KLVK) that has been just sitting neglected for 10 years or so now. I don't have the N-number, but you could call the airport manager and find out who owns it and what the story is.

Is it this one? Cut and paste these coordinates into Google Maps and zoom in:

37.690789,-121.810109

If so, it looks like a bathtub-nacelle Commander.

Stan,

Thanks much for that.  It does appear that this is a bathtub-nacelle Commander.

I fly into Corona all the time to fuel up and have taxied by that Commander many times. Didn't know it was an FP. I'll try to find out more next time I'm in.

Adam,

Thanks, however, I was there last year and the only thing salvagable was the two doors above the oil filler caps.  The plane is part of the old Jack Chapal fleet.  I paid Kristy Stell (Jack's Daughter) for them and wound up selling one to Randy Detmire.  I assume that you are speaking of the unpainted plane on the southwest end of the airport.  If not please tell me more.  Thanks again.

Regards.

Moe, then we're talking about the same one. Too bad they let it go that far. Just for your info, there are two FP's for sale at Trade-A-Plane at the moment. Might be worth asking the sellers if they have a spare...
