Mike,
You see, the thing is, it is in the public domain.  It isn't like we have to

I did...a while ago. Wink Have enjoyed watching what you've been up to.

I was just trying to help you find the easiest option to appease those
folks who don't want to join Facebook, so they can see your pictures
without you having to do a bunch of extra steps or conversions. Sorry
if the link was harder to find in the new timeline...seems the people
at Facebook like to periodically rearrange things.

Anyway, hope it helps.

Cheers,

The worse wiring mess I have ever seen! Would take two weeks to
straighten it out and cost over $6000 I would guess.

Cliff,
First of all, you haven't seen it, you've just seen a picture of it and the
world is 3D not 2D.
Second of all, what makes you think it needs straightened out?
Gary just likes things simple and my choice is to have backups.
Since I own the plane and know the missions for the plane better than
anyone, it's my choice.
It all works, too. And a lot of it will still work during solar flares
and/or when they shoot the satellites down.

I don't think Gary likes it "simple". The more applicable word(s) are neat, serviceable, and practical. He wants it so it is easy to work on. Being neat and serviceable is the issue. Having one, two, three, or four displays is personal preference. Heck, you can put Directv in the plane if that's what you want. However, if any of it installed with little regard to the service aspects, it is simply poor workmanship on the part of the avionics technician or whomever did the installation(s).

Neat - Aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Adds perceived value to an aircraft when things look neat and tight visually.

Serviceable/Practical - When someone looks at the wiring, and has to "fix" something. The chaotic state of the wiring complicates that action significantly. Keep in mind that making things "too neat" also poses a servicing problem if everything was bound and shrinkwrapped, etc. The wiring of your panel makes servicing, updating, upgrading, etc, a rather complicated effort.

Ive seen it first hand (not only in pics) and I agree with Gary that the wiring on that plane is a mess. I cant throw too many rocks 'cause my wiring isn't a work of art either, but has been improved and is fairly serviceable.

Your avionics tech needs to take the heat for this. Defend it all you want. The facts are there. As viewed, it isn't neat, isn't installed in a practical manner, and isn't very serviceable as is.
