I would recomend screwing in a pressure gauge to check actual engine oil pressure

Today I performed checks as per Dougs instructions and beleive the problem to be the gauge.

I don’;t know the setup you have but, if the sending unit is screwed into an anodized oil manifold, that could a problem. Resistance between that manifold and the sending unit should be Zero. The best way to make sure is to run a ground wire between the sending unit body and a known good GROUND.

John,
I checked the reading both from the transducer casing to the engine (at) the Pressure line output, as well as from the casing  to the firewall ground. Both readings were the same. I'm considering a direct reading using a mechanical gauge to verify actual pressure from the engine. That should determine the root cause and prescribe the remedy.  My concern is that if these readings are accurate, I'm down indefinitely. I'll run a hard line as you suggested and see the results. Would be nice if that resolved the issue... Here's a shot of the transducer installation. It previously worked in this configuration just fine, then last week was when it displayed the low reading.
