Chris,
I just spoke to my ophthalmologist and he told me it's been a long time since he sprayed off a car. So try this page...

Chris:
Am helping a friend restore a 1946 Aeronca Chief using the Stewart system.
Currently have covered one wing and have applied the first brush coat of paint. Another will be applied at 90 deg. Work will continue on covering the remainder of the plane to this same point. Finish coats will then be applied to the entire a/c. So far, so good.
In addition to the issue of fumes, there is reportedly a considerable weight savings.
Will keep you apprised as we progress.
