Jaguar cowl fitted and flown on first Australian Tiger on Saturday.

Because of an electrical issue, didn't fly a lot. But downwind (at) 2300 rpm was getting 110 knots IAS which is about 5 knots faster than i am used to.

Elec problem? EDM readings all over the place. Mech thought it was edm, but fitted a new oat, it reads OK with switches off, switches on, it doubles its reading, very similar to edm. Has me thinking and earth or power supply problem.

JPI are very specific that their instruments are grounded to the engine; not to a common avionics earth. That is worth checking. The cowl certainly looked great?

I'll say this again for the one-millionth time.
"I always run the ground wire the JPI to the grounding lug on the engine mount."
I've tried it either way. It makes no difference to the displayed CHT.
If you want to see lower temps, buy an EI.
