We have a bad sealing washer that fits on the t-fitting that connects to the outlet of a CJ-6 fuel pump. Sapp/Selby do not have these in stock. Have researched to no avail and believe we are looking for a non-metallic metric flat washer, but the proper material remains a mystery.
This is the closest description found to date, but no idea if “Buna-N” is the right material for gasoline immersed applications.
Description : Item : Sealing Washer, Type : Flat, Material : Buna-N, Thickness : 0.0625", Thickness Tolerance : +/-0.020", Temp. (F) : -25 to 200, Color : Black, Durometer : Shore A: 50 to 70, Application : Cushioning, Sealing and Vibration Resistant
Any ideas on material or possible sources?
Thanks, Dave

Dave,
As Doug Sapp already said, don't use a Buna-N washer on the fitting. You
need a metric crush washer. Here is a link to some metric crush washer
which may fit the fitting. I'd go with the aluminum crush washers.

Some times they use lead washers as seals, much as they do on the air system. They much softer of course than aluminum and will seal better.
