We recently prepared a “display” M14 engine for an Austrian customer. It was prepared by our partner, Aerometal in Hungary, and the entire engine; gearbox; and accessory case are all “sectioned” and all internal parts finished with a rather fine nickel plate.
It is actually an M14V – the helicopter version which is in wide use in the East, and has a right angle drive in the gearbox, as well as a cooling fan.
Rather to our surprise, the whole engine turns quite easily, and this can be seen in a short video clip that might interest those who are interested in these fine engines. http://www.russianaeros.com/Video/MVI_1676.AVI
If any rich Yak owners would like another one for their home/office/den, please let us know!

How is it that "Rich" and "Yak owner" fit together in the same sentence? We here in the Colonies call that an "Oxymoron". In the U.S. Warbird world, we either rank as Pond Scum or Bottom Feeders, depending upon where the beholder is in the hierarchy.
When is the last time anyone saw a CJ or Yak-5x on the cover of Warbirds?
