I need the info on how to remove and inspect the oil pump check valve. Pictures would be a big help. My oil tank leaks down at a rate just above ridiculous and bordering on ludicrous.

It is not removable. The factory has a process of milling the old unit out
of the casing and installing an oversize unit. We offer overhauled exchange
oil pumps as well.

Hello,
recently had the oil pump removed to check seals - in the fuel pump as well. The check valve was an easy push fit, so this was not correct ? Yes, the oil tank leaks into the engine somewhat, no problem, have fitted a shut-off ball valve in the feed hose to the pump. What worried me more was the wear on the flats of the fuel pump drive shaft because this was assembled dry in the past - with steel dust collecting in the space between pumps - not great for the seals. So I filled the space with PTFE/teflon grease.
Does anyone have an idea what the pipe connection on the fuel pump is for ? This leads between the two seals to this groove with holes. I utilized this access to fill up the space with grease in order to lube the seals : Gasoline is not great for shaft seals.

Vic;
I suspect you are looking at the cavity drain line connection. Should be
one on each side of the fuel pump (1/8" NPT). One is used with a fitting
and pipeline to overboard which is checked periodically for any fuel flow
indicating pump seal leakage. The other should be plugged.
