Not sure how many of you guys are aware that Doug Sapp is selling an
interesting little widget that I believe makes ground handling on the CJ
much easier.
I fly my CJ 6 doing mountain search & rescue out of Reno and quite often
as we are getting ready to go it's really inconvenient trying to hold
the brake lever while you warm the engine, get out the charts,
program the GPS , secure your knee board and get all the chores done
while getting enough heat up to do the run up without taxiing into
something.

The item Doug offers is a very simple and easy to install collar that
attaches to the stick , it has a slide lock and it's very simple to use,
squeeze the brake handle and slide the lock to hold the brakes , ready
to go? squeeze the brake handle and slide the lock off. The part is a 10
minute install , is very well made, has an anodized finish and I don't
know how I lived without it before.
It's really handy on the flights when you don't have a GIB to be your
parking brake. This device is $100 but once you try it , I'm sure that
you'll agree that it's worth the money.
The gentleman who makes these I'm sure is putting in a fair amount of
labor time to produce it , it's a great idea and about the handiest
device you can have with air brakes.
