Hello,
Is there any one out there wanting to part with a set of 2 Rotax912S Carb Drip Trays? I am planning using them in a Classic installation but need to mod them to reach longer as the hot water carb heat jackets have moved the carbs 1/2 inch further away from the original position, by doing some cutting and welding to reach further and do a proper job keeping the close exhaust pipe from cooking the fuel in the carb bowl..
has anyone done this before?
Please contact me off line at: christoph.both(at)acadiau.ca
Thanks so much!

We have an 80hp tri-gear with a wobbly prop operating out of our 450m strip, no problem.

Call Peter Jeffers. I believe his plane was a mono converted to tri and he is using an 80 HP Rotax. As I remember from talking to him, it is just fine with He, Susan, and a little luggage.

Hi Jonathan,
you can have my 914. Only problem: it's overboosted.
Seriously - I think there are few 80hp Trigears left, thus I'm curious, if someone has an advise for you.
Good luck!

I found some stainless steel heat shields/deflectors with stand offs at Aircraft spruce which I wired onto the exhaust bends under the carb bowls.

Christoph,
I used the Rotax drip trays sold with the 912S airbox and mounted them to the engine ring mount. Works well with the Skydrive carb heat system in place. See attached pictures. Ask if you need more information.
