What is the correct angle of incidence when rigging floats?

I have just started test flying my 701 with Full Lotus 1450 floats and had a hard time getting the 701 to lift off with two aboard. I have increased the angle of incidence which helped. I was wondering if any 701 float owners could let me know what angle they are currently using and how the aircraft performs in take off, cruise and landing. It doesn't matter what type of floats you have. I would like to know what everyone is using so I can figure if I'm within a reasonable envelope.... or getting close to the edge.

Hi.
I have two front frames; one with 4' the second with 8'. With 1000# gross
and 8' the TO speed is 40 Kts, with 4' , speed is 42 kts. Time for lift-off
is 8-12 seconds on a standard day. The slats are not much help on the water
because I can't get sufficient angle of attack. Try using more flaps if
possible. The higher angle reduces the cruise by a couple of Kts, I don't
recall a difference on landing.

Also, be sure to check for water inside of your float bladders. I don't want to step on Zenair's toes but I am a very disatisfied former Full Lotus floats owner. 

The bladders in my Full Lotus floats soaked water out of the air to the tune of nearly a quart per bladder per season. These were older floats so the bladder material may have been changed since then but it was a major flaw with the design at the time. The owner of Full Lotus said he was aware of the issue but had no solution other than removing each bladder and forcing the water out through the schrader valve, a most inconveinient task.

Anyway, be sure to keep an eye on your float bladders for water accumulation.
