With the JPI, you are probably taking the temp at the "oil out" in the front
of the block.... the Normal Temps referred to are the standard 'Oil in" temps
taken downstream of the cooler.... this is the one hooked on to your stock guages

Probably between 180-200F or maybe a bit hotter during an extended climb is
pretty typical. If it gets to 220 F I would do something to reduce it or
keep it from getting any higher. But 245 F is the max redline oil temp.

Well mine was running around 235 or so ... to close to the redline
for me to feel good .... The CHT was showing 350 on #3 as the hottest.
This tiger is new to me so I wasnt sure where it should run. I did
find some places air was escaping from the baffling .. I have fixed
that to I will go up and check it again to see if that helped. Is
there a stc for a larger tiger oil cooler?
