I thought it interesting to see 8 nine volt batteries inside the $22.90 ELT battery. Would the regs allow just replacing the be batteries and reinstalling?

Pretty crazy huh. Opened another style of pointer ELT battery and it had D cells in it. They were soldered together. Im sure they are all that way.

Pretty Good Scam! Huh Gary...

And to think the FAA approved that battery pack.
And LQQK at all those snap-on FAILURE POINTS!
Seems like a great Scam Business to get into.
And how much does that battery pack sell for?
I like the NARCO version better.  At least those 'D' batteries are soldered and WAX POTTED for vibration and moisture.

Hey Barry,
The battery pack sells for $22.90.
I found some bulk batteries 12 for $15.75 plus shipping. Or around a dollar each if you buy large quantities. So for around $8 or so you could go into business! At Walmart they're about $4.50 each so it was easier to just buy the new pack than for a one off DIY. I agree the D cells would be a better way to go
