The Rapco brake pads are in stock at Desser again. There was an issue with the webpage.http://www.vansaircrafttires.com/products/Rapco-Brake-Pads-RV%252d10.htmlI spoke with Mark, from Rapco, at aircraft Spruce yesterday. He advised that the new production run on the 112-00 pads will be completed around the end of the month and should have the pads in Desser's stock in November, should the current stock run out again. Prices appear to be the same price as Cleveland but my understanding is Rapco has been working on a better chemistry for the pads to allow for better durability, hence the delay in the release.
Be hooking up with Mark again on Friday at the AOPA convention, if anyone has any questions you would like me to address with him.
Pascal

Just ordered a set from Desser. I got 190 hobbs hrs out of the original set. I hope that the new set lasts longer with the new formulation. At $80 a set - (delivered) they are certainly no bargain. I guess that they are priced for the certified (big bucks) market.

How many hrs are the rest of you getting out of your pads or is 190-200 hrs average?

Changed mine at 200 hrs last annual, and could have gone another 50 or so.

But I am not a heavy braking guy either.

In the process of doing the brakes on the -10 I fly ---- 135 hrs and the pads look like they are good for several more hrs --- decided to change them out as I had a leaky piston. I thought I had the correct pads in stock, but found out they would not fit ---- had to order from Van’s (88.00+shipping).
