Family, friends, fellow Aviators,

Unless you have been living under a rock these weeks or have "turned off" out of frustration of endless political adds and claims, you should know that Obama's actions on Libya provide a reasonable reason to impeach him (at least in my view). There are at best excuses for what appears to be deliberate 1. Total distrust and understanding of accurate intelligence BEFORE it happened. 2. Total disregard for the for the pleases to increase security. 3. Paralyzed on his decision making during the attack. 4. A cover up to blame it on a video. 5. Now the firings of those commanders who dared to questioned his decisions during the attack.

Add to the total incompetence of his political plans (very anti - American in my view and indicative IF you know his up-bringing), he has in a very short time brought America to a very tenuous place. The man is a charlatan in every aspect, you just need to look closer. (Look at his wedding ring, (well documented), its inscription "Only one God and that is Allah" This from a man who professes being a Christian?)

Those of you who are "on the fence" and consider yourselves "Independents", (or even some Republicans who didn't like Mitt in the primaries.  I was one.) remember you are NOT hearing the full story of this man from normal media sources & NPR. You folks in Ohio because of the Electoral College, may throw this election in favor of Obama because "he saved the auto industry". You may find that all that loyalty will have been wasted when that industry will be subject to REAL world market norms. You union folks just bet your life and that of your children on man who broke the very basic laws of our land to give you blood money.

For the sake of our nation and that of our children and grandchildren, know who you vote for. I hope it is Mitt. If you can't bring yourself to vote for a white guy because it would be 'raciest' than just don't vote (That is not a responsible reason). If you can't vote for Mitt because he's "so rich" ask yourself if you wouldn't like to be in the same boat. (Jealousy of wealth or anything else has ever been adult).  For those lock step democrats, there is nothing I can say to you. History (it won't be far away) will be your harshest judge.

Vent your spine, I shan't respond.
Jim (Yep I voted for Carter) Goolsby

You are of course correct.
But a passion for ones country and the future of ones country is something
to be very proud of.
And for someone to stand up and be accounted for and say it as it is, is to
be commended.
Here in Australia, I agree wholeheartedly with the comments posted as here
in Australia it is pretty blatant where Obama is heading.
And for any patriotic American to stand back and allow that will be to sound
the death knoll for Americans freedoms and rights and destroy a proud
country who have repeatedly stood up and stand accounted for in protecting
the rights and freedom of the world. AT great sacrifice.
Too many bury their heads in the sand and suffer from apathy and then when
it is too late they are quick to say, "Shit, what happened"

If all of you on this site have the testicular fortitude as has Jim, then
America could have a chance of remaining a proud nation.
You are being led by a man who will destroy the America that you, and we,
all know and enjoy and are proud of.

Good on you Jim.

Well said Chris and Jim. I'll stand with either you anytime!
This election not only will decide the future of this Republic but it will decide the fate of the world!
This election is a simple choice. It is the difference between bondage in the form of Communism ( socialism, progressivism, and theocratic totalitarianism..whatever you want to call this new form of global governance) or Liberty as guaranteed by our Constitution.
If you have not noticed, this administration has attached general aviation in ever subtle ways that encroach on our free airspace. From the FAA attempting to instituted user fees despite this president saying it will not happen. Throw in the tightening general airport security with erection of fences and single point access with ridiculous airports user ID cards that on work at on airport by the airhead goons at the TSA! One can only be thankful that their funding petered out and that congressional oversight returned in the form of a Republican House. Otherwise the TSA and Homeland Security would have nearly succeeded.
Another four years and this administration will destroy the American dream! You can kiss free airspace and flying your Russian, Chinese, or any other spam can for that matter good bye. If you don't believe it take the time to watch 2016 The Movie. Read the Cloward Piven Strategy. Then find a copy of Saul Alinsky's "Rules For Radicals". One best watch You Tube and Google fast. One only has 7 days to arrive at an informed decision.
Sick of this political rancor and feel it does not belong here sure! To both counts. The BUT in this is that YOUR very FREEDOM to fly, live, and die are at stake in this election! If you don't believe me read the 2035 page Obamacare Bill! Yep, it was not about free health care for all. It is about control...of our lives from cradle to grave...yes, the 15 member unelected healthcare committee does exist and yes it does have the power to determine what happens to your life after age 70.
So I'll say again, no I would like not to see or have this "politics" discussion here but if not here where? When the gate is closed on us wild pigs because we did not figure out that the free corn they kept putting out for us while they erected the fence of bondage all around us was completed when the gate was shut behind us?
The decision on 6 November 2012 is the most important vote we as Americans will make in our life times! I, like Jim, can not sit quietly knowing the gravity of this election!
I did not spend my entire military career staring down Communism to quietly be placed in bondage by this imposter in chief and his administration of communist minions! They are damned close if you botched to read any of the presidential fiats over the past three years ( executive orders).
If we don't discuss it now...then when do we? When this Administration takes over total control under the pretense of a national emergency?
Just remember...FOUR DIED AND OBAMA LIED!
Do you still believe the Hope and Change BS?! The choice is simple, vote for Communism or vote for Liberty.
It's your vote on November 6, 2012. It may be the one you have that is made of your free choice.

G'Day Walt,

Yep, I know.
Thing is, I did start with a But, and also simply admire someone who loves
his county and is prepared to be accounted for.
Walt, we are a lucky breed to be able to fly our Yaks or whatever and enjoy
the brotherhood, the camaraderie and the remaining freedom that we have.
It is under threat, here in Australia as well.
You Americans should be dammed proud of your achievements and your great
country.
You should be proud of the armed forces personnel who have defended and died
doing so,not only for America, but the world.
We all have a new threat, a threat that does not recognize our way of life
and if unchecked, will destroy both of our freedoms and bloody great way of
life that we are blessed with.
Cheers, Chris.

Gents,
I wouldn't normally respond to this thread but here goes.

The Warbird community, especially the jets, is under attack from the FAA. They don't like fast movers, which means the administration does not like fast movers. Our own poor operational safety record does not help at all, or guys going out and shining their tail.

You might not think if jet operations are restricted that it impacts you but I would disagree. It is a creeping bureaucracy. That is why groups like CJAA and EAA Warbirds fight these things very hard. In the end, it is keeping at bay something that could restrict you and others in the future.

Politics do not belong on this forum except for how they might impact your ability to exercise your privelege or right (depending on your viewpoint) to fly Warbirds. There is plenty to discuss on this single subject. Let's keep it focused. Smile)

I agree that by and large this is not the place for political
discussion, although that has never stopped anyone from posting anything
else "they" happen to feel is important, that in some vague way or
another can be tied to aviation.

But I do disagree with your particular usage of the word "crap" when
responding to this particular persons comment.

Many MANY topics on the YAK list deserve that label, this one much less
than others in my opinion.

If you read the interview in AOPA Pilot, and keep up with the news, you
should know that President Obama is ALL FOR "Usage Fees" for certain
General Aviation users. That by and of itself makes this election an
"Aviation Topic".

So if you want General Aviation user fees, then by all means support
President Obama. If you do not, then I strongly suggest you consider a
different administration.

There... now it relates to airplanes and is no longer crap.

Mark Bitterlich

p.s. The best way to stop discussion on any topic is simply to not
comment on whatever someone says that bothers you. Commenting on it and
asking people to stop simply fans the fire. Something I have learned
from personal experience. Just an FYI ..... Smile

users fees are so critical some aviation gents do not realize the importance.
Go to Europe and see how dead GA is
you have to pay for using the airways, for filing a flight plan, for landing and take off
its so bad that when flying IFR an instrument approach has to be paid in euros on top
if this issue is "crap" then I agree with Mark we need to be discussing it and become scatological experts.
you call the cards but don't cry when it comes to you and your vote is the source of the problem.

should know that President Obama is ALL FOR "Usage Fees" for certain
General Aviation users. That by and of itself makes this election an
"Aviation Topic".

So if you want General Aviation user fees, then by all means support
President Obama. If you do not, then I strongly suggest you consider a
different administration.

There... now it relates to airplanes and is no longer crap.

I Agree Mongoose and could never figure out why a politicians safety-life is supposedly more worthy than the rest of the population i.e. TFR's looks like the one over Washington DC will become permanent and our current President sure gets around but what brought us all this protection were commercial airlines? go figure. My political affiliation is Libertarian and I will stand with Jim.

Gents,
I wouldn't normally respond to this thread but here goes.

Smile)

What Andres states is so true: GA is very expensive in Europe, due to all kinds of fees and restrictions and regulations.
And that indeed is the result of socialist or liberal governments that want to CONTROL everything.
In belgium, (capital is BRUSSELS), we used to be relatively free. If something was not strictly forbidden by law, then it was allowed.
Since 1968, socialists, crypto-communists and all kind of leftist rats gained power, slowly, by infiltrating into the system.
Since then, thanks to the crooks that govern us and the European "super"state, we lost our freedom: if something is not explicitly allowed by law or regulation, then it is forbidden.
Voting does not change anything anymore. The result of elections will always be manipulated.
You Americans don't know how lucky you (still) are.
But you'll have to be vigilant and careful to keep your freedom.
The same forces that took ours, are active over there.
My opinion, and I don't care if someone calls it "crap".

users fees are so critical some aviation gents do not realize the importance.

Oh great.

I thought McCarthyism died out decades ago. Looks like it is being revived right here on the Yak List. Surprised it hasn't yet descended into talk of forged birth certificates.

Probably a good reason for me to unsubscribe if I have to continue reading this drivel.
