Coming back from the tropics again (and another election...)
I was in Venezuela but could not escape unfortunately to the GA airport (SVCS), and the one in down town CCS (SVFM) is completely taken by the military even though it started as a civilian airport... I tried, but they would not even let me in...
Saw lots of Turbo Commanders taking of and landing but did not dare take pictures. I also went through Bogota where I spotted a 1000 and a 690 while taxing seating on a commercial flight but can't read any registration from my photos...
I can't remember the last time Flying has dedicated anything to Aero Commanders... Pia Bergqvist decided to tackle our favorite Ted Smith's design; of course it's all about the turbo props, but hey we have several in our group who enjoy that fantastic ride!
Check out they have even several photos and comments:

Sorry Barry, as usual the history is pretty murky... confusing the 520 with the blue goose and even the Shrike?... may be time to sent her the new link of the new website so she can learn the REAL story
By the way, congrats on that Sir Barry and Russell Legg and all those behind it! It's the 3rd site that I see for the group and I must say it's getting better and better!
I took some time to read part of it and I will send my comments at some point, some minor editing and questions about some of the bath tub models.
Hope all are doing dandy and can't wait until next year to catch up with you guys & gals... I was literally driving a 26 ft truck "flying" at 75 mph puling my car and smiled at the gang as I was driving through RENO!
Tenesse here we come! get ready for some GO's vibration and roaring laughter!
Here is the link for the rest of the article by the way:

Take care you all and keep them flying!
