I make it a point to land on runways that are at least 15' wide so that if I break out of the clouds at 200' agl I can sidestep to the center without much trouble
This might be a stupid question, but if you are using a wingtip Bob Archer

Me too.

I remember reading an article in one of the IFR newsletters titled something like "Tips from the Freight Dogs", where a "freight dog" described how on a night approach to minimums, he would fly a half a needle width to the left so he could see the center line more easily in his twin... seriously.

What's a needle?
